This policy explains how EnzymeNews uses cookies and similar browser storage. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains the wider processing of personal data and your rights.
What cookies and similar storage do
Cookies are small records stored by your browser. A website can also use local storage, which can remain after the browser closes, and session storage, which normally lasts for the browser tab’s session. These technologies can remember privacy choices, support website functions or help measure visits.
Your choices
You can read EnzymeNews without agreeing to optional Analytics. Advertising is currently disabled.
- Use More Options on the privacy banner to review purposes, vendors and individual choices. The Google consents section includes a separate Analytics choice.
- Reopen your choices at any time using the Privacy control at the bottom of the website.
- To withdraw optional choices, open Privacy and select Reject All. Alternatively, change individual options and select Save & Exit. Closing the window alone does not withdraw a saved choice.
- Your selections apply to the browser and device you are using. Clearing site data, changing browser or using another device may require you to choose again.
Withdrawing consent applies going forward. It does not automatically erase information already received by a service. See our Privacy Policy for information about deletion requests and other rights.
Remembering privacy choices
We use InMobi Choice CMP, provided by InMobi Technology Services Pte Ltd., 160 Robinson Road, #19-08 SBF Business Center, Singapore 068914. It displays the privacy controls, remembers choices and communicates consent signals to participating services. Preference storage also remembers refusals, so it can remain after you reject optional purposes.
InMobi’s CMP terms and data protection agreement describe its service and data handling. Its agreement identifies InMobi and the website operator as independent controllers. The purposes and vendor list covered by the banner can be reviewed in More Options.
Main browser-storage items
The following describes storage used by the website’s consent, display and Analytics components. Which items appear depends on your choices, browser and the features used; this is not a claim that every listed item is present on every visit.
| Item | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
InMobi consent cookies, including IABGPP_HDR_GppString and, where created, euconsent-v2 or addtl_consent | Remember and communicate privacy choices | The CMP sets a cookie lifetime of approximately 13 months (390 days), subject to browser limits or earlier deletion. |
InMobi local-storage records, including gbc_consent | Remember Google consent choices and related preference state | Persistent browser storage with no automatic browser expiry; it remains until removed or replaced by the service, you or your browser. |
wpEmojiSettingsSupports in session storage | Record whether the browser can display emoji correctly | Normally the browser tab’s session; the result can be refreshed sooner. |
Google Analytics _ga and _ga_* cookies | Distinguish visitors and maintain session information after Analytics consent | Google’s default is two years; browser limits can shorten this and later visits can refresh expiry. |
These durations concern browser storage, not how long providers keep information on their servers.
Google Analytics
Analytics is loaded only after you grant the Analytics choice. It helps us understand visits, page use and how readers find the website. Information can include cookie identifiers, pages viewed, interactions, referrals, browser or device details and approximate location. Cookie identifiers are not inherently anonymous.
You can turn Analytics off through the Privacy controls described above. Necessary preference storage can remain to remember that decision. Google provides further information about Analytics cookies and its privacy practices.
Advertising
EnzymeNews does not currently use Google AdSense or display Google ads. Google Analytics is a separate, optional service that requires your consent.
The privacy controls may list advertising vendors even though their advertising services are not active on this website.
Browser controls and contact
Your browser settings let you inspect and delete cookies and other site data. Blocking or deleting preference storage may prevent choices from being remembered. Removing browser storage does not itself erase provider-side records.

We will update this policy when the relevant technologies or practices change.
